About me

I’m a Principal Data Scientist and AI/NLP Consultant based in Frankfurt, Germany, with a background in Computer and Software Engineering. I specialize in Natural Language Processing and deep learning systems that help organizations unlock value from unstructured text—through document classification, intelligent search, information extraction, and generative AI applications.

As an AI consultant, I partner with clients across sectors like eCommerce, logistics, finance, and life sciences to build tailored NLP solutions and scalable AI architectures. I focus on fine-tuning transformer models (BERT, DeBERTa, ModernBERT, etc.), developing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems, and delivering full-stack machine learning pipelines. My RAG-based solutions currently support thousands of users and enable real-time interaction with large knowledge corpora—enhancing automation, customer engagement, and decision-making.

Beyond consulting, I’ve led machine learning initiatives that translated directly into multi-million-euro business impact. At DB Schenker, I served as Principal scientist in Global Data and AI department, where I develope AI systems to tackle business challenges. These systems drive significant operational efficiency, unlocking an estimated €7M+ in annual savings through optimized shipment pricing, advanced chatbot solutions and ETA network predictions. At SCHUFA, I built AI-driven pipelines that automatically corrected hundreds of thousands of corrupted consumer records directly contributing to improved data integrity and a six-figure revenue uplift.

Earlier in my career, I conducted research at the L3S Research Center, publishing in areas such as fairness-aware learning, boosting, and semi-supervised modeling. In parallel, I managed the European research project NoBIAS ITN, coordinating stakeholders and overseeing strategic deliverables. These experiences sharpened my analytical thinking and built the foundation for one of my strongest assets today: the ability to quickly absorb new domains, distill complex problems, and translate them into effective AI solutions. This academic depth fuels my work in industry and freelancing alike—allowing me to bridge theory and practice with speed, precision, and lasting impact.
